8 years

Today is the day I woke up 8 years ago, and changed my life for ever. I married my best friend, Bryce Daren Stevenson. It wasn't always such a love fest however. In high school we started off really not liking one another all that much. I grew up, he went on a mission, and there you pretty much have it, we've been happy ever since. It's amazing to me sometimes to think about finding "the one", and how hard that should be with a whole sea of fish out there. Thank goodness it wasn't for me. 19 rolled around pretty quick, I met Bryce, and 6 months later we were married. I posted a new playlist of songs that remind me of Bryce. The first one is, "to make you feel my love", by Garth Brooks. Bryce sang and played this when he proposed to me at the Timbermine Resturaunt, (we both cried, and I said yes!) Next, "I wanna grow old with you", by Adam Sandler. Bryce used to sit on the couch across from me and just play and sing songs to me, after we were engaged, this is one he would play for me. (I would get a little teary eyed). Lastly, I thought of, "All because two people fell in love", by Brad Paisley. Bryce heard this song for the first time on his way to the temple to marry me. He later told us at the luncheon about this song he heard today, and how he thought how true that song was, he was so grateful that our parents fell in love, and how there is this big chain of events that happens to people because you fall in love. Because of that love, we were there today. He explained it much better than I just did, and I think we all cried a little on that one! I woke up this morning to a light snow flurry, wind and probably 35 deg., definitely not the beautiful spring day we were married on, flowers in bloom, a little rain however, but everything looked so alive, and not still dormant. Bryce, babe, I love you, you know that. I can't wait to see what the next 8 years bring us. We have definitely been through some rough and good times together, and the best thing about it was that I didn't have to go through things alone. You have a pretty boney shoulder, but that has not stopped you from letting me sob on it time and time again. Thank you for putting up with my emotions, craziness, etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. Thank you for making me laugh and for making me so happy. I cannot wait to spend all of eternity with you, my best friend, companion, oh husband of mine, I love you more than words can express.
Happy Anniversary!!
Love, your Lady Cakes.

*Sorry the pictures were taken from pictures, so they don't look that great.
