15 months

I took Miss Audrey in for her 15 month appt and she was as follows:
weight: 24.9lb   69%
Head: 18.5in     75%
Height: 33in       96%
Yup, she's still very very tall. Along with being tall, she has recently become a pain in the butt. She acts like she's going through the terrible two's already telling me "no no no" and screaming and kicking her legs anytime I take her down from something she feels the need to climb or anytime I put her on the changing table. She is a ball of energy that still never tires and is running me ragged, but gosh she's cute and I sure do love that little mutt!
Speaking of mutt, look at these pictures of this wet one. You can't tell but she was drenched! I was taking some photos of a house we had just finished up and she decides to walk into the shower and turn the water on. She thought it was pretty funny and just wanted to keep goin back for more. Like I said mutt.

I ain't gettin any younger!!!

August 25th, I turned 31, I know, I can't believe it either. I look like I'm 21 right? hahaha Well at least I still act it. My husband spoiled me by taking me to Park City to spend the night at the Hyatt Resort at the Canyons, what a nice place. We went golfing, hit the alpine slides and coaster, shopped and ate and ate and ate!
It was so nice to leave Audrey behind and get to spend some much needed time one on one with the hubby. Thanks for the weekend of fun honey.

Ever since Audrey discovered the back of the tub was a slide or as she puts it, "weeeee", we have had a few accidents as you will see. I didn't catch her first fall on video but look who hops right back up and heads on over to the  "weeeee" again!

Needless to say, my motherly instincts really kicked in and we purchased her a bath mat. We are trying to discourage guts and such in the bath tub.

Water Slide

Audrey seriously has no fears that I can see as of yet. Not quite sure if that is a good thing or not. That's probably why I still can't leave her alone on the stairs, because ever since she could walk, she thinks she should just be able to walk down them as I do, not crawl. I see some broken bones in her future.
Anyway, my sister bought this blow up water slide, which is great, cause I get to use it:) The first time we took Audrey, I had the kids holding her as she went down. Then I said, let's see how she does on her own. She's a pro, she loves it. Thanks for letting us come over and giving us something to do (especially for free).

Hoogle Zoo

We have been to Hoogle Zoo twice this year. Once with just us and the second time I took Audrey with my mom and Kendell and Cam. Audrey loves her some animals. The elephant is always her favorite. Brownie Lake Reunion- 2012

Well another year has come and gone for the Nelson, Ira and Hattie reunion and I'm sad. I really do look forward to it every year. I enjoy camping and being with my family, making new memories while hearing about the old ones of people I never knew and pondering back on the years that we have been going to Brownie Lake as a family. It really is a fun place and I hope that our family carries on the traditions set by my Great Grandma and Grandpa Nelson. This year was a first for us, and a first for Audrey. We took our baby camping for the first time. We rented a trailer because this time in the Uintas can still be really cold and Audrey will not sleep with blankets. We shared a trailer with my parents which I was just a little nervous about due to the fact that Audrey may not sleep through the night. The first night she woke up screaming. Not sure if she was slightly cold and then it turned into a, hey, where the heck am I scream! She ended up sleeping next to Bryce and I for the first time and I'm hoping that is the last. I just laid there the rest of the night being kicked/hit and worrying that I would roll onto her. The other 2 nights she did great. Not waking at all. During the days, she took her naps, went on a lot of wagon rides, 4 wheeler rides and played with cousins. She loves her cousins and I truly don't know what I would have done without their help with entertaining, (and Aunts and grandparents) :) Audrey happened to fall out of the trailer the last few hours of our trip, leaving this nice gem...... Abbie caught a fish with her mouth. Bryce said she looked like a bear in Alaska bobbing her head under water to catch it. Bryce was nice enough to bring home her catch of the day, fry it up for her and then she got to reap the rewards of her hard labors.

Thanks for the fun family vacation. It's sad, but since we have all been married, I don't think that we have all been on a family vacation together other than these reunions. So see, it has it's purpose!

Well, I typed this up awhile ago, I'm just getting to posting it now. I can't believe how big she has got this last little while. We have now just flipped her car seat around to forward facing. She likes it better and so do I, it's fun to see her cute little face every time I turn around, although I hate that it means she is growing up. She climbs in and out of the bath tub, the toy box, the laundry basket. She climbs up onto my fireplace hearth, which I hate because she can't get down from it without me or plopping down on her head. She has quite the vocabulary now. Her everyday vocab consists of dadda, babba, go go, bye, hi, dog, Abbie. Yes, she says the dogs name clear as a whistle, but can't say momma anymore. I honestly think she thinks my name is babba. She sings the part of, eiei without the o, in old mc donald had a farm. The one word I know she is saying but it's just not very clear is thank you. It comes out as, tay tu. She will come up to me and hand me something and say tay tu, such a polite little girl. We are having so much fun with Audrey and I really enjoy watching her learn new things. Her stats at her 1yr were: Weight: 21 lb-60% Head: 18"-67% Height: 31" 94%

Audrey's 1st

Well yesterday morning we had left our windows open to go to sleep that night and a cat woke me up about 1:58am on April 22nd. What does this story have to do with Audrey you ask? Well I just found it ironic that at almost that exact time; exactly one year ago I had woken up to my water breaking with Audrey. I found myself doing this all day long yesterday......"Oh Bryce, at this time a year ago, we would have been doing this" etc etc....... Later on that day, I was getting all of the batteries charged for the big day. I started to flip through some footage on the video camera because we really don't use it all that much, typically only for really special occasions. I found myself watching a lot of clips of us in Brasil. It got me thinking of how many great adventures and trips Bryce and I have been on over the past 11 years together. As I mentioned Brasil, Carribean, Cancun, Puerto Rico, Seattle, New York, Nauvoo, Kirtland and lots and lots of cruises. I then came to the footage of Audrey's first day in the hospital, her first bath time, her first food feeding. I then watched her smile and giggle. Her first crawl, playing with Abbie and her toys, her first Christmas. Having Audrey is hands down, the best adventure Bryce and I have ever started together, other than marriage. She was so worth the 5 year wait and we truly can't imagine our lives without her. There are defiantly mornings where I'm like, ahhhhhh, do I have to get up?? And her attitude some days can really get to me, but by golly, I love that little baby, I mean toddler, sniff sniff. She is such a happy baby and yes, you will always be our little "baby girl". Mom and daddy love you so much and are so glad to have made it through this 1st year with you, there were days I didn't know if we would survive, well if I would, but I did. It is so nice to have family that lives so close and to have such support from all of them. Everybody but 3 people were there. Brody who is off working in Florida, we miss you. Great grandpa Stevenson and Nancy because he is in the hospital battling for his health. We love and pray for you. I don't know if you guys really know how much it meant to us, especially to me that you were there. For me, it wasn't so much just a birthday party for a 1 year old as it was truly celebrating the birth of a miracle that we so desperately wanted and needed. Thanks for coming; we love each and every one of you!

Easter 2012

Today was a great day. The weather was great, the talks in church were awesome, dinner at my parents was delicious. It is always good to have another day, other than Christmas, dedicated to the Savior. I'm so grateful for the Resurrection of my Savior.
