This is something that I have never posted about, and don't really even like to talk about that much, but it's on my mind, and I'd like to get my feelings out, so bare with me. A lot of the time I feel that people's posts just have to be about the positive things and about how great our lives are and nobody ever has trials or problems in the blogging world, ya right.
I'm finding deep down, that the holidays like mother's day, are getting harder and harder to get through as another one comes and goes and I'm still not one. Many of you don't know I'm sure, because I really don't talk about it that much, but Bryce and I have been trying for quite sometime now. It's been a really long rode of crappy Dr.'s not caring and not knowing what the heck there talking about, a laprascopy, many tests, many emotions, and we still have no answers. There has been a lot of growth through this process as well. Trials make us stronger. I have no doubt that I will have kids one day, it just needs to be on the Lord's time, we have complete faith that he knows what he's doing. We really are ok, I think that we have handled things really well, I just find myself thinking about it occasionally, and tonight just happened to be one of those nights.
I'm grateful however, for two amazing mothers. KayLynn and Debbie. They are wonderful women who have raised two amaaaaazing kids, (me and Bryce) And I don't think we could have turned out any better:-) Our mothers, I'm sure as most of yours, would do anything for us, and they really have that unconditional love thing going on. They are our biggest cheerleaders, and we don't know what we would do without them. We love you mom's!! We are also grateful to all of our wonderful sisters and sister-in-laws. They are all great moms in there own way. We are so blessed to be around such great examples of motherhood. I hope to take bits and pieces from each of them one day and form it into my own mold of "motherhood". Thanks for letting me get my feelings out into my so called "journal", I just wish that it was a little more private, I'm not one that likes to talk like this often.
Happy Belated Mother's Day to all you mom's!

We survived Brasil!!
We are back, and we were already missing it on the way to the airport. It is so hard for us to come home from vacations. We left on April 16th and came home on the 27th, I know it seems long, but it when so fast, especially when we had 9 flights, and a many a car ride in that short amount of time. We flew into Rio stayed there a couple of days. Saw the Cristo, Sugar Loaf Mountains, and don't forget Co-pa Co-pa-ca-ba-na (beach)! It was such a high pace place with beautiful beach's and sky scrapers everywhere. My mom kept telling me to promise her not to go out after dark, ya right. It was dark at 6:00, so sorry mom, we did a lot of walking at night, grocery shopping (had to stock up on the Guarana), coming home from restaurants, walking the beach, and can you believe it nothing ever happened.
From there we flew to Iguassu Falls. They are the most beautiful waterfalls ever! If you want to see Niagara put to shame, go to Brasil, it was amazing. My pictures or video just does not do it justice. If anyone would like to go see it for themselves, we would be happy to be your tour guides, for free.
And last but not least, we flew into Goiania. That is where Bryce served. We spent a whole week there. We were able to get a resort in Rio Quente through our time share, and it was such an amazing resort. All of the pools are natural springs that come up out of the ground and they were so warm, it was like a nice warm warm bath tub. And anyone who knows me, knows how I love my bath tubs! We got to see one of the families that still lived there when Bryce was there. They absolutely freaked when they saw "Elder Stevenson"!! They seriously screamed on the streets in Brasil like a bunch of little girls, well I guess most of them were girls, but still, it almost brought a tear to my eye with how excited they were. They fed us dinner, Bryce sang and played them songs on the guitar like he used to when he was there many years ago, the video of all of that is absolutely priceless. Bryce kinda freaked me out at times with how well he speaks Portuguese, everyone commented on how well he still knew the language, (well at least that's how he translated it to me, who knows what they really said huh?) They probably said, "what did you see in her???"
Bryce really could not have been more in his element, he loved it. It was so good to see him so happy, in the place where he became a man. He truly loved his mission and I'm so glad that I got to see why. The people are amazing, they don't have much but think that they have everything. They don't complain about anything, they are such a simple people. And there hearts could not be any larger, they were so loving and welcoming with the little that they had. We miss them already. Don't worry, we have our 5 year visas now, and we'll be back.
A lot of money later, 9 long flights, Janica's unforgettable driving experience involving a stick shift, a big hill, and burning rubber in a foreign country, Bryce and Janica both getting a slight cold, Bryce having to change 2 flat tires which had nothing to do with Janica's driving because it was a totally different rental car, missing our little fuzzy Abbie so much, Janica swearing that she had a parasite when they got home because she had major diarrhea and the worst constant stomach cramps ever for a good 5 days. -----Sharing an experience of a life time with your best friend, PRICELESS!!

Happy Easter!
As I was going over my lesson this Easter morning, I could not help but get emotional with all of the scriptures that I had to read in preparation. I love this gospel. I'm so grateful for a Savior that sacrificed so much for me. The things that he went through during the atonement are things that can never be re-paid. I'm grateful for his Resurrection and for the knowledge it brings to me, that HE LIVES! And with that, we will all live again as well. It is so comforting to me to know that there is a plan, he hasn't given us this big puzzle with a few missing pieces, it is all there, we just need to put it together, and I know I will return to him again someday because of this knowledge that I have obtained. I love this gospel!!
Laser Tag
The other day Jen and Kel invited the family to go play laser tag, arcade games, and have some pizza with them at Toads. I'm so glad we went. It has been so long since I have played laser tag, but we had so much fun! Here are a few pictures of the night, thanks for the fun everyone!!
Rodizio's
Watch Dog? Hmmmm
Well, Abbie likes to think that she is all tough and would protect us if anything were to happen, but the other night Bryce shoved a pretzel up her nose while she was sleeping and she didn't even move, flinch, smell anything out of the ordinary or open an eye. The funny thing was that after he did it I thought, crap that was a once in a lifetime picture with a dog and a pretzel up her nose. So I made him do it again, low and behold twice in a row, pretzel up the nose and nothing! Maybe she was having a really good dream. Watch dog or not, we love you just the same.
PS...don't worry, there were no animals injured during this act, and she did get two pretzels out of it.

8 years
Today is the day I woke up 8 years ago, and changed my life for ever. I married my best friend, Bryce Daren Stevenson. It wasn't always such a love fest however. In high school we started off really not liking one another all that much. I grew up, he went on a mission, and there you pretty much have it, we've been happy ever since. It's amazing to me sometimes to think about finding "the one", and how hard that should be with a whole sea of fish out there. Thank goodness it wasn't for me. 19 rolled around pretty quick, I met Bryce, and 6 months later we were married. I posted a new playlist of songs that remind me of Bryce. The first one is, "to make you feel my love", by Garth Brooks. Bryce sang and played this when he proposed to me at the Timbermine Resturaunt, (we both cried, and I said yes!) Next, "I wanna grow old with you", by Adam Sandler. Bryce used to sit on the couch across from me and just play and sing songs to me, after we were engaged, this is one he would play for me. (I would get a little teary eyed). Lastly, I thought of, "All because two people fell in love", by Brad Paisley. Bryce heard this song for the first time on his way to the temple to marry me. He later told us at the luncheon about this song he heard today, and how he thought how true that song was, he was so grateful that our parents fell in love, and how there is this big chain of events that happens to people because you fall in love. Because of that love, we were there today. He explained it much better than I just did, and I think we all cried a little on that one! I woke up this morning to a light snow flurry, wind and probably 35 deg., definitely not the beautiful spring day we were married on, flowers in bloom, a little rain however, but everything looked so alive, and not still dormant. Bryce, babe, I love you, you know that. I can't wait to see what the next 8 years bring us. We have definitely been through some rough and good times together, and the best thing about it was that I didn't have to go through things alone. You have a pretty boney shoulder, but that has not stopped you from letting me sob on it time and time again. Thank you for putting up with my emotions, craziness, etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. Thank you for making me laugh and for making me so happy. I cannot wait to spend all of eternity with you, my best friend, companion, oh husband of mine, I love you more than words can express.
Happy Anniversary!!
Love, your Lady Cakes.
*Sorry the pictures were taken from pictures, so they don't look that great.

manual labor??
It's been awhile since my dearest has had to hold a hammer or a nail gun in his hand. The only thing he holds anymore is his cell phone or a golf club. Don't get me wrong, Bryce does work hard, it's just not that manual labor that he once had to do. But for the past month, Bryce has been framing in a basement for the Stoker's on his Saturday's. I know he has enjoyed refreshing his memory on how to do a lot of these things that he used to not have to think twice about, but now does. I just wanted to tell Bryce how amazing he is. He is the true meaning of service, he does it so selflessly, and I love him for that. You are a good man babe. (now if I could only get you to do my crap around the house so easily)
Doesn't he look so cute doing his manual labor and all? And that tool belt, AHHHH!!!

Passports and Visas, Oh My!!
Well, a couple of days ago, Bryce and I just decided that we finally need to take that trip to Brasil that we are always saying we'll do, but don't. Within the last couple of days we've looked into airports, visas, hotels, transportation, restaurants, old mission spots, and of course the places that he never got to see before. And the best part about it, is we will be leaving next month. I can't believe we are finally going, and Bryce especially, is on cloud nine with having the thought of visiting the place that he loved so much. To this day, many years later, he seriously lights up when he talks about the mission, I really love that about him. He loved the people, the place and the food. We honestly can't walk into a grocery store without him holding up a piece of fruit and saying, "this is nothing compared to the avocados in Brasil, they are this big in Brasil." And most of you that know Bryce can picture his eyes growing the size of that avocado as he's explaining it. In a whole, it's quite overwhelming, I've never planned anything like this before, especially in a foreign country. We are so blessed that we are able to do this right now in our lives, I can't wait to go with Bryce and share what I'm sure will be very spiritual moments in the places that he grew so much. Brasil, ready or not, here we come!! (well, only if we can get our visas in time)
